Asjad Naqvi

Asjad is an economist and joined WIFO’s Climate, Environment and Resource Economics research group in June 2022. His research focuses on climate change, economic growth and inequality and their interactions in the form of trade, migration and financial flows. His research uses a mix of macroeconomic models, agent-based models, and causal inference designs. Asjad received his Ph.D. in Economics from the New School for Social Research in New York (2012) and his Habilitation in Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) in 2020. He is affiliated with the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), and the World Bank.
